We often offer an entire estate at auction. The items for these auctions may be transferred to our gallery, or may stay on location and sold directly from there.
Preview days: each auction will have a specified time and location listed for you to preview and inspect any items you are interested in bidding on. The preview day(s) for some estate sales will take place on location – read through the auction description for address, times and directions. We make every effort to describe the items, including its flaws, but it is up to you to determine the conditions of any item.
Estate Owners/Executors
Using an auction to liquidate your estate has numerous benefits.
- It’s easy – we do all the work. We organize, advertise, and sell your estate items. We work with the buyers, answer questions, arrange for pick-up and deliveries, etc. It’s a lot of work, but we love it!
- It’s timely – we can liquidate an estate very quickly. Call us with your deadlines, I am sure we can make it happen.
- It’s complete – a normal “estate sale” typically only sells about 30% of the items (the best items). The rest is usually donated and delivered to a charity. An auction sells it all!
Make sure to call us before cleaning stuff out. People are often surprised about what has value at an auction. I have seen people haul thousands of dollars of items to the landfill that they “thought” was just “junk”. Do not make that mistake – call us first!
We also offer full estate service management. If you are the executor of an estate and live out of the area, we can help with cleaning, lawn care, snow plowing, etc. until the estate closes. This gives you single contact, and the peace of mind knowing that it is all being taken care of.
